Breakaway from tradition

Instead of throwing a traditional bouquet to all the single ladies why not throw one that splits apart into mini bouquets. This trend known as a fortune bouquet is gaining popularity among brides. The idea is simple - create a single bouquet that breaks into several parts.

Some brides attach charms, ribbons or fortunes to the stems of each of the individual bouquets like "you'll marry your high school sweetheart," or "you'll marry the person sitting next to you," or "you'll be the next to marry." Other brides invite all of their female guests to join them on the dance floor. The bride asks them to make a wish before the toss.

Follow these steps to put together your own breakaway bouquet:
1. Remove any leaves and thorns from your flowers and cut them to your desired length.
2. Separate the flowers into individual bouquets.
3. Attach ribbons around each individual bouquet using a glue gun. Press them as tightly as you can.
4. Use smaller ribbons to attach the charm or fortune.
5. Wrap all the stems together using a large ribbon that can be untied right before you toss it.
